Creating/Editing Pages

  1. Go to aslcpo.org/admin and enter the username and password.
  2. In the left-hand navigation sidebar, click “Pages.”
  3. Locate the page you would like to edit and click the page name or hover and click “Edit.” If you would like to add a new page, click the “Add New” button located at the top of the page.
  4. On the “Edit Page” or “Add New Page” screen, there is a large area to edit your page content. You may edit the page using the “Visual” or “Text” setting found in the upper right-hand area of the page content.
  5. You may add media to the page by clicking the “Add Media” button found in the upper left-hand area of the page content.
  6. You may edit/select a new “Featured Image” by clicking on the featured image in the right-hand navigation sidebar.
  7. Once all edits are finished, click the “Preview Changes” button in the right-hand navigation sidebar.
  8. If the changes are approved, click the “Update” button in the right-hand navigation sidebar to update/publish your page content.

 

Creating a Photo Gallery

  1. Go to aslcpo.org/admin and enter the username and password.
  2. In the left-hand navigation sidebar, click “Posts”.
  3. Click “Add New” to create a new post.
  4. Add a title to your new photo gallery.
  5. Click “Add Media” to select the photos for your new photo gallery.
  6. In the left-hand navigation sidebar, click “Create Gallery”.
  7. Select all of the images you would like to include.
  8. In the bottom-right, click “Create a new gallery”.
  9. In the right-hand navigation sidebar, add a “Name” to your photo gallery.
  10. Select the checkbox “Show Preview Images”.
  11. Select “Insert gallery”.
  12. In the right-hand navigation sidebar, click the “photos” checkbox under “Categories”.
  13. Click “Publish”.

 

Editing a Photo Gallery

  1. Go to aslcpo.org/admin and enter the username and password.
  2. In the left-hand navigation sidebar, click “Posts.”
  3. Locate and click on the post you would like to make edits to.
  4. Click on the “Visual” tab in the upper-right hand corner.
  5. Click inside the editable area and click on the pencil icon to make edits to the photo gallery.
  6. On the “Edit Gallery” page, remove or add pictures as you’d like. When the edits are complete, click “Update gallery”.
  7. Click “Update”.

 

Adding/Editing Media

  1. Go to aslcpo.org/admin and enter the username and password.
  2. In the left-hand navigation sidebar, click “Media.”
  3. To add new media, drag/drop images and/or PDFs into the Media Library.
  4. To edit existing media, select the media and edit the information on the next screen.
  5. You may add media from the Media Library onto pages/posts by clicking the “Add Media” button while editing a page or post.
  6. When inserting a PDF onto a page, place the cursor where you would like the PDF link to appear and click “Add Media”. Select the PDF and make sure it links to the “Media File” in the “Attachment Display Settings” area in the right-hand navigation.

 

Notes

  • Not all content on the website is editable. For instance; the navigation, banner image, sidebar portion, callout area, the Bible verse, contact form, and the footer are only editable by Drive Group, LLC.
  • If a new page has been created and you would like it to appear in the navigation, please contact Drive Group, LLC to make this change for you.
  • You may create a new WordPress user if you’d like. Please do not make edits to the “admin” user, because it could affect your ability to edit the site.
  • Please do not add/delete/modify any “Plugins” being used on the website. If you would like additional functionality on the website, please contact Drive Group, LLC to provide insight and to make any changes. Changing plugins could cause the site to crash. Drive Group, LLC will manage site plugins and security as part of your hosting plan.
